Happy 2022

New year, new perspective.

The view from the top floor down the stairwell is one of the best. We need to start spending more time upstairs if only to enjoy it more. I snapped this after my daughter finished a Zoom dance class, and I watched her make her way downstairs. New year, new Zoom skills.

These Bocci lights were a project in and of themselves. The fixtures and transformer needed to be wired individually before drywall, so that took some planning from the builder and electrician. During installation I spent almost an entire day with our incredibly patient electrician determining the hanging lengths. The shades are beautiful porcelain, handmade lanterns and I wanted to create a random and organic effect of them floating through the space. They are lovely and different from every angle and I’ll share more photos soon.

I know that this last year has given our family a completely new perspective on life, work, home, it seems like almost all our previous assumptions have been turned on their heads. I hope we can at least take all of this and turn it into opportunities to reimagine and reinvent, beyond the confines of what life and work were before all this. Here’s to reconsidering our perspectives in 2022.
