Cultural sustainability is a concept that I’ve found myself reflecting upon lately - a way to think about what sustains us, what identifies us.

My schedule was truly packed this last trip to India, and I took my daughter everywhere with me. Just as I used to do as a young girl, she didn’t leave home without a book.

This year began with a journey for me, a trip of exploration and connection. Of new footsteps, navigating their way through ancient places.

This month seems to be going by in a blur. Perhaps its a post pandemic adjustment after our sense of space and time was so distorted for so long.

The last few weeks have been busy with the launch of Studio Kahaani’s online boutique, as well as the first foray for the brand at an in-person holiday market.

This oval window is one of my favourite details on our late Victorian house, and gives a glimpse of the story we’re creating as we make it a home.

We spent a lovely few days in Montreal last weekend, celebrating my daughter’s birthday (mine got an honourable mention).

October is my favourite month by far, and the list of reasons keeps growing. It’s also the beginning of many Hindu cultural celebrations, a festive season culminating for some in Diwali.
